7.10.2022 – ADULT Sunday School – Life & Times of Moses, “In the Wilderness,” Introduction to Book of Numbers – Rick Bickel

In Exodus 34, we were reminded that as Christians we are to reflect the glory of the Lord as we interact with others. Moses spent time with God, and it was obvious to those who interacted with him. We too, through word and deed, should let God’s light shine so that it would be obvious.

After Exodus 34, the Book of Exodus describes some worship regulations, offerings for the Tabernacle, the making of objects or “furniture” for the Tabernacle, and the completion of the Tabernacle.

Class teaching will skip-over the Book of Leviticus which means “matter of the Levites“. Leviticus address the Levite’s responsibilities, how the priests were to assist the people in worship, and the people are informed about how to live a holy life.

The Census of Israel’s Warriors – ‘1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying, 2 “Take census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, every male, head by head 3 from twenty years old and upward, whoever is able to go out to war in Israel, you and Aaron shall number them by their armies. 4 With you, moreover, there shall be a man of each tribe, each one head of his father’s household.’ Numbers 1:1-4 NASB
